Expat Living Norway (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates expatlivingnorway.com (the “Website”). This Refund Policy applies to any digital products or services we may offer for purchase (e.g., downloadable guides, e-books, online courses, or memberships related to expat living in Norway).
Digital Products – Right of Withdrawal (Angrerett) Under Norwegian law (Angrerettloven) and EU rules, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases without giving a reason.
However, for digital content (non-tangible products like downloads, instant access files, or online services):
- The right of withdrawal ends immediately once you start accessing, downloading, or streaming the content (performance begins).
- To provide immediate access, you must give express consent before purchase that you agree to this and acknowledge you lose your 14-day withdrawal right upon start of delivery.
During checkout/purchase, you will see a clear statement and checkbox: “I consent to immediate delivery of the digital content/service and expressly waive my 14-day right of withdrawal (angrerett) once access begins, as permitted by law.”
You must actively check this box to complete purchase — without it, the transaction won’t proceed. We provide this information clearly before you buy, as required by law.
Refunds for Faulty or Non-Conforming Products If the digital product is defective, faulty, not as described, or doesn’t work properly (lack of conformity), you have rights under Norwegian law (including Digitalytelsesloven):
- Request remedy (e.g., update/fix if possible).
- If unresolved, ask for a price reduction or full refund.
Contact us promptly with details (e.g., proof of issue). We handle complaints fairly and within reasonable time.
No Refunds for Change of Mind Once you have consented to immediate delivery and accessed the content, no refunds are given for change of mind, as the product is non-tangible and performance has started (per law exception).
How to Request a Refund or Exercise Rights Email us at maria@expatlivingnorway.com with your order details, reason, and any supporting info. We respond within reasonable time (usually 14 days max for valid claims). Refunds (if approved) go to your original payment method.
